Lake McMaster is located near Victoria, IL in Knox County. It is a 160 acre strip mine lake. It is know for its unbelievable clarity, at times you can see 30 feet down!

It has a 10 hp restriction with the entire lake being a no wake zone.

Several 50" muskie have been caught from this lake. It has great potential.

Physical characteristics include a central main basin with adjacent shallow gravel bars, abrupt drop-offs, numerous bays, points and islands, a standing timber area, extensive shallow flats of submerged vegetation and cattail flats.

This lake closes for waterfowl season. Please check with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for closing dates and information.
