Joe Bucher Outdoors Split Rings

When it comes to all of my Muskie baits, I always add a split ring to the hook, unless it alters the way the lure performs. A split ring is like a small insurance policy to make sure that your hook doesn't come off your bait. A "good" split ring will not pull out when a large fish is on the hook.

A good tip, if possible, is to double your split rings. An example, a #5 inside a #7. This is a solid set up and doesn't allow the fish to gain leverage and throw the hook during the fight.

When it comes to split rings I strongly recommend the Joe Bucher Outdoors split rings! These things are tough! These split rings are made at least three times stronger than conventional split rings being sold on lures today.

These split rings are available in #5 & #7 sizes, and come in quantities of 12, 25 and 50. All at an affordable price. You'd be doing yourself and your fish a great injustice by not utilizing this simple, inexpensive tool. Why risk a split ring pull out and the loss of a fish and the gut wrenching thought of that fish swimming off with a mouth full of razor sharp hooks!
