Muskie Show Season
Well it's that time of year again. A time when people line up and wait for the doors to open to enter the muskie shows. For most people this is what gets them through winter when the muskie season is closed in many parts of the muskie's range. Others go to purchase the latest innovations in the muskie industry. From buck-tails to boats, there is something for everyone. There were a lot of really cool looking baits at the Chicago Muskie Expo this year. The one that caught my eye the most was hands down the Revolution Buck-tail by Kramer Bros. Tackle. I will be doing a comprehensive review of this bait once I find some open water. Personally I believe that this buck-tail is going to be a very successful bait this season. For those who were throwing the prototype it seemed to have a knack of putting big fish in the bag. This bait also won the best of show award for the new product show case at the Chicago expo. Congratulations to Kramer Bros.
You can get your revolution buck-tails at Musky Tackle Online. Tell them The Muskie Kid sent ya!
If you haven't been to a muskie show, I suggest you make some time and check one out. There is a lot of products available to purchase so you are stocked up for the season opener. It also gives you a chance to talk with many different manufacturers to get questions answered about different products that they offer. There is also seminars from guides and industry leaders that offer helpful tips and tricks to better your chances for success while out on the water. All of the above is well worth the modest price of admission.
I'm not going to be able to attend all of the shows this season. However, next year I am planning on attending as many as I can. I hope to see some old and new faces.
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. Warm weather and muskie season will be here before you know it! I have some big plans for 2017 for my YouTube channel and I hope you will take a moment to subscribe so you don't miss out.
Keep that lure in the water!
